I am a part-time homesteader. I dream of self-sufficiency. I have an inner curiosity that drives me to figure out how everything is made, like really made, down to how each part or ingredient is made. However, time is a limited resource. I am also a wife to my musician husband, mother of two busy children, a full-time accountant, and I’m learning how to be a full time Christmas tree farmer. I make everything that I can from scratch and learn new ways to be self-sufficient when I can, but I forgive myself for the occasional store-bought hat or processed food that finds it’s way into my grocery cart. This blog is where I’ll share tips on bringing a little farm simplicity into your life. I love fiber, yarn, and knitting. I love easy and convenient home cooked meals for busy families. And I love growing Christmas trees with my husband and two children. We are just getting started and have both growing pains and encouraging stories to share. Stay tuned!
